We know that if your mobility scooter or powerchair suffers mechanical or electrical breakdown, you want it repaired as quickly and easily as possible so that’s what we do.  We also know that you do not want to have to pay for the cost of the repair which, in some cases, can be high and then wait to claim your money back from us so we pay the repairing agent direct.

Our warranty policy is designed for owners of mobility scooters and power chairs valued at up to £5,000 and provides insurance protection in the event of accidental mechanical or electrical breakdown. This insurance is available on both new and used equipment. The insurance for new products commences immediately after the manufacturer’s guarantee expires and you will be given the option of being covered for 12, 24, 36 or 48 months. For used products the insurance lasts for 9 months commencing 3 calendar months after the equipment has been purchased. Prior to expiry, policies for both new and used products will be offered renewal for a period of 12 months.

Summary of Extended Warranty Benefits  

  • Mechanical & Electrical Faults - if your scooter breaks down as a result of mechanical or electrical failure we will pay for the cost of rectifying the fault. If, as a result of the fault, your product is judged to be beyond economic repair we will replace it with a like for like product. In both cases we will make the payment direct to the repairing agent so that you are not temporarily out of pocket.
  • Parts, Callout & Labour - we offers a comprehensive warranty which will cover the cost of all parts, labour and call out and with no excesses to be paid no matter how many times you claim.

Our insurance and warranty policies are provided by Premier Care, Mark Bates Ltd, Premier House, Harlaxton Road, Grantham, Lincolnshire, NG31 7JZ and are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority F.R.N. 308390.  The insurer is LLoyd's syndicate 2001 managed by Amlin Underwriting Limited through it service company Amlin UK.  Amlin Underwriting Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Sevices Authority under register number 204918.

Notification of claims

If you need to notify the insurer of a claim or any circumstance or incident that may cause a claim you should contact Mark Bates Ltd, Premier House, Harlaxton Road, Grantham, Lincolnshire NG31 7JZ.  Tel: 01476 593887.  You should immediately report to the police any incident involving theft, malicious damage, vandalism or loss of property.
