Although Scooters and Powerchairs are now made to a very high standard and incredibly robust, unfortunately with any electrical and mechanical components they can go wrong.  When they do go wrong they can be very expensive to repair.

Exclusions & Limitations

A copy of the master policy is available on request. The principle Exclusions and Limitations of cover are as follows:

  1. Faulty design, plan specification or materials
  2. Damage to tyres by application of brakes or by road punctures, cuts or bursts
  3. The cost of the routine maintenance, overhaul or modifications or loss, damage or breakdown arising there from
  4. Loss, damage or breakdown following modifications or servicing not in accordance with the manufacturers instructions
  5. Any loss, damage or breakdown caused by corrosion
  6. Repairs to or replacement of tyres, batteries, fuses, bulbs and any consumable items
  7. Extended Warranty only available for products under 6 years old at date of policy commencement
  8. New Warranties have to be taken out within 45 days of purchasing new product
  9. On a pre-owned vehicle, warranty cover can only commence if the product has been serviced in the last 90 days by an approved FSIS Dealer

 

Complaint Procedure

It is our intention to provide you at all times with a high level of customer service. However, if you have any reason whatsoever to be unhappy with the arrangement or servicing of your insurance, please contact the Customer Service Manager, First Senior Insurance, Unit 8 Cotswold Business Park, Millfield Lane, Caddington, Beds LU1 4AR.

 

Any complaint will be acknowledged within five business days of receipt. You will be advised of the person who will be dealing with your concerns and when you can expect to receive a response. We aim to provide you with a full written response within twenty business days to the matters you have raised, unless the complaint is particularly complicated or warrants further investigation. If this is the case, you will be advised in writing if more time is required to provide you with a satisfactory response.

 

Your custom is valuable to us and we want you to be entirely satisfied with the response and service we give. Our aim is to resolve all concerns internally. If you remain dissatisfied with the way in which we have dealt with your complaint and you are a Retail or Commercial Customer (with a turnover of less than £1 million) you may refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). Should this be the case we will send you information on the FOS.
