Action on Stroke Month

Show your support this month for stroke survivors in conjunction with the Stroke AssociationMake May Purple is the Stroke Association’s annual stroke awareness month, which takes place every May #StrokeMonth.

A stroke is a brain attack.  It happens when the blood supply to part of your brain is cut off.    Anyone can have a stroke but some people are more at risk than others.  By making simple changes to your lifestyle you can reduce your risk of having a stroke. Take a look at the Stroke Association website to see how you can reduce your risk.

It is also important to recognize the signs of a stroke in case you or a family member have one.  You need to think and recognize the symptoms of FAST (F = Facial Weakness, A = Arm Weakness, S = Speech Problems and T = Time to Call 999).

Why don’t you try one of our three ‘purple’ ideas to show your support for Stroke Month and raise money to conquer stroke?  Check out these simple ways to wear, bake or plant May Purple.
