Friday, November 10th, 2017 by morethan

If you are a man are you getting involved with Movember this month?  A lot of men grow aMovember moustache for the month of November and help raise funds for men’s health as well as being a bit of fun to see how far and long you can grow your moustache!   Go on and give it a go and do share your pictures with us.

Movember_Foundation_LogoThe Movember Foundation is a global charity committed to men living happier, healthier, longer lives. Since 2003, millions have joined the men’s health movement, raising £402 million and funding over 1,000 projects focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity.

Alternatively both men and women you can take part in the “Move Challenge”:

MOVE is a 30-day physical fitness challenge. Set a distance goal that challenges you, and then walk, run, cycle, swim or row towards it. Move a little or a lot, solo or in a team. It’s not about being the fittest or the fastest, it’s about having fun, doing good and raising funds along the way.

Do something good for you, while doing something great for men’s health. The funds you raise will stop our sons, partners, brothers, fathers and friends from dying too young.

Remembrance Sunday

Friday, November 10th, 2017 by morethan

Here at More Than Mobility we like to get involved with Remembrance Sunday by helping toRememberance Sunday sell poppies in our mobility stores and wearing our poppies with pride.   It is the time of year when as a nation we remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedoms.   Please do get involved as it is a matter close to our hearts as well as our customers.

As the custodians of Remembrance, The Royal British Legion calls on the nation to unite in commemorating Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph Service and Parade in Whitehall on Sunday 12 November.

The Cenotaph Service is organised annually by the Department for Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), with The Royal British Legion coordinating the poignant March Past.  Each year, veterans participate in the Cenotaph March Past.

Remembrance Sunday services are also held throughout the UK in local communities. Please check with your local authorities for details.

Also don’t forget the two minute silence which is held each year at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, marks the end of the First World War.
